Dubrovnik has a great variety of accommodations for all tastes and budgets. Our wedding ceremony will take place in the Old Town while the reception will be in Lapad. Both of these locations would be a good choice for a hotel or an apartment. An excellent resource for finding hotels in Dubrovnik is Tripadvisor.com.

We recommend that you book your accommodation as soon as possible, as August is high season in Dubrovnik, and the availability might be low.

Staying in the Old Town

Staying in Dubrovnik's historic center is the best way to absorb the magical flavor of this unique walled city. In the Old Town, you'll be within easy reach of restaurants and nightlife, and Lapad beaches are a short bus ride away. Plus, there's nothing like an early morning stroll down Stradun to enjoy Dubrovnik's sights. If you have a car, remember that there's no parking in the Old Town. You can lug your suitcases through town but usually you can arrange with your hotel or private accommodation to meet you at Pile or Ploce Gate. There are two hotels within the gates, the Pucic Palace and the Hotel Stari Grad, as well as many private apartments for rent.

Two hotels that were recommended to us in the Old Town are Hotel Excelsior and Grand Villa Argentina.

Staying in Lapad

Lapad beach is the largest beach in Dubrovnik and is located in Lapad bay, very close to the Lapad walking zone and in the vicinity of several hotels and many restaurants. Lapad peninsula is regarded as one of the most beautiful parts of Dubrovnik. Many pebble and rocky beaches, car-free areas, nice walking paths along the sea, cafe bars and restaurants make it a great accommodation choice for guests coming to Dubrovnik. Lapad is located about 3Km Northwest of the Old Town (5-10 minutes by car), and there is a bus that stops regularly at the beginning of the promenade.

Two hotels that were recommended to us in Lapad are Hotel Neptun and Hotel Lapad.

Apartments

There are many options for renting apartments in any area of Dubrovnik, and they are often considerably cheaper than hotels. You can explore some of the available options at Butterfly Services. Our wedding planner, Kristina, has agreed to help our guests with booking apartments, so if you'd prefer an apartment to a hotel, please email us, and we will put you in touch with her.
